with primarys over we can safely say

no place for progressives in democratic party. The idea progressives taking over democratic party is complete nonesense.

via wikileaks we know dem establishment has a lot o finfuence with msm.first off they will black out challengers to establishment and then do their purging of voters

we have seen with gillum in florida governor race and pressly in mass house primary hilary loyalists can pretend to be progressive to win primary.gillum is already showing is true colors as a centerist.

remember Ben Jealous who supported bernie in 16 who was able to win primay for governor in maryland isn’t being supported by dems at all.yet progressives are excepted to support establishment dems.

progressives beat ine inucmbent in primarys but that was balanced by reall progressive defeated by fake progressive.

i am going to critze bernie here.he supported no primary challenge to any dem senators or governors.I have bad feeling he madea decsion to help his 2020 run by not supporting primarys to sitting dem senators or govenrors.

dems may have good night in november for one reason anti-trump wave.it isn’t exactly a dem wave but anti-trump wave.here in missouri i am going to vote for every green on ballot i can.i don’t care if Mccaskill loses or not because of my vote.i don’t vote for republicans or trump supporters.she is actully both.

as for 2020 remember this Bernie may be kept out of primarys by the loyalty clause.but even if he is allowed i except  1 of 2 things to happen

1-dems and msm will claim he isn’t even all that progressive and push a neoliberal as real progressive

2-if biden collopses and dem primary polling has bernie, warren, harris, and gillabrand as top 4 even if bernie is in front expect to hear via surrgotes and msm is we have had enough of white men as presidents time for a female president and democratic party should nominate woman.so more of the bernie and his supporters are sexists attacks.

If bernie is allowed to run in primarys especilly if Bloomberg is allowed to run as dem with crowded field I have suspecion this may be their gameplan

Hope biden collopses for starters.then support warren and hope she is able to take enough support from bernie to eather allow Harris to get more pledged delegates on first ballot or keep Bernie from getting enough delegates to win nomination on first ballot and then on second ballot they can eather drag Harris over finish line or push her ahead of bernie.Warren then picked by Harris as her vp and then MSM promets this as first 2 women progressive ticket.and like 2016 any bernie supporters who refuse to support harrisWarren are racists or sexists.

nothing is going to change with dems.Bernie is so wrong.with Pelosi as speaker again the corposts and neocons still win.main difference is all the house investigations of trump and his officials.

i see the senate going one of three ways

    1-Gop mains 51 to 49 majority

2-GOP picks up 1 or 2 seasts to a 52 to 48 or 53 to 47 thanks to worthless trump voting neoliberal dems

    3-dems take a 51 to 49 majority

even if it is 3 having Schumer as majority leader won’t change much.

so my attitude is progressives need to leave democratic party or as i call it the Clinton party.

and let’s remember i still don’t think it is crazy Clinton doesn’t run again in 2020.we have seen evidence of her equaly bad croonies winning over progressives.and with the idenity politics of pushing women and idea clinton people go with she didn’t lose 2016 putin stole it from her that could drive another run from her.that could alter race entirely though my istinct is dem officials don’t want her again the clintons don’t listen to anybody.

problem is by voting green party dems may steal votes from greens to pad their numbers.there was suspecion of that in 16 too.

bottom line is i feel no place for progressives in democratic party and total waste of time being invlved in their primarys nomatter how much you may hate trump and gop.

    1. The Dems are the graveyard of progressive hopes.

That’s what they are paid to be. We need a true progressive party.

DemExit! Don't give the Democrats a dime. Don't identify as a Democrat. Drop Democratic identification below 20%. Only then will they support true progressive policy. Until then, corporate money rules.

      10. Well we don't have one now and it doesn't look like anyone is even working on

one.  So in the meantime, progressive Democrats are at least fighting the beast.  Do we have a chance, probably not but at least we are fighting.   What people are looking at is the tip of the iceberg.  We are building a progressive base from the ground up.  Some dreamers think that if only we could get a progressive elected president, we’d be good.  You need progressive Reps and Senators, and state legislators, and city and county officials.   At least we are fighting.

    2. The Duopoly Party can contol the vote by issuing Provisional Ballots.

Provisional Ballots may be counted as a vote or as a registration to vote in the next election. The County Election Judge may count up the number of votes needed and throw the others in the box labeled 2002 Help America Vote Act-Voter Registrations. Who will be responsible for mail in ballots? Same County Election Judge. Processors using Cross Check are in court being suited, at this time. As more People are finding out that their registration is missing the Cross Check suit will build in number.
I believe that the use of provisional ballots being used as voter registration forms is how Herself won the California Primary in 2016.

Both have to be stopped. Electronic voting machines need to be stopped, but that is for issue in the 2020 Campaign Season.

    3. Millions of we old baby boomers are with the true progressives.

And most of the millennials are with the true progressive. A majority of the independents would fall into the Bernie camp. This gives me hope for the future. Just look how that one guy, Bernie, moved the needle.

But what you say is true. The Democratic Party establishment/CIA or whatever they are, think they can pull the very same shit they did in 2016. I mean they will say, “Where else can they go?”

That’s the plan. Disenfranchise voters as needed. Control the media narrative to the point where is is sickening. Call Bernie “that old commie” while they pump money to the corporate Democrat (Republican). If that doesn’t work they will outright flip the electronic vote.

    4. Nothing you say is wrong, but…..

giving up is not an option.   Progressives have not been winless in this primary season.  And we have succeeded in changing the dialog in our political system.   But to get real change will take pressure in multiple areas, both within and outside of the “party” system.   Support the best progressive you can get.   Don’t be afraid to have a litmus test, and if you do have one, be loud about it.   If you can hook up with like minded individuals, do so.   Most of all, keep yourself in the game.

      6. Yep. There have been victories

This is going to be a long, hard process. The Rich and their lackeys are going to fight us 100% of the way. Anyone who thinks that we should just sit things out because we don’t win every battle gives up power to the worst.

    5. Vote issues. Not party or politician.

I find it pretty simple.   There are certain issues that I find important.  Peace, Choice, the Environment, etc.   I vote for the candidate most likely to be effective in dealing with those issues.

Needless to say I’ve never even considered voting for a Republican.   When the Democrats abandon them or move too far to the right I’ve voted 3rd party.

Parties are coalitions of like-minded people who will vote for generally like-minded people.

    12. I have never

seen anything like this, with this many progressives across the country winning, and with this much support behind progressive ideas and organizations. Now would be the worst time to give up. I am not saying that it is going to be easy, and we still have a long way to go, don’t get me wrong. However, I don’t know why soo many here want to give up or try something that has never worked in the past, especially after the unprecedented success of the Bernie campaign.

    13. DemExited! Never to return

to vote for any of them…ever. They’re not getting my money either. No politician is getting my money after what the DNC/Act Blue/CVF did in 2016.

    Never again.

I hope they lose their asses in 2018 & 2020. If they don’t, they will think what they’ve been doing is just peachy keen, when it’s not. Nothing will ever change…again.

They cannot vote for tax breaks for the wealthy when we have hungry and homeless people living on our streets in every city in this country. Our schools are crumbling and uninhabitable – no place for children to learn. Our infrastructure is in shambles. Our water supplies all over this country are poisoned with lead and other toxins. The cost of EVERYTHING is sky high; food, gas, healthcare, medicines, utilities, property taxes, home repairs, appliances, etc…you name it, it’s ridiculously expensive today.

According to Chris Hedges, the fudged unemployment numbers are more like 17%! So we have no jobs.

So, voting for tax breaks for the wealthy and giving SUBSIDIES to the likes of BIG OIL, BIG AG, BIG PHARMA, AMAZON, WALMART and their Ilk, should be cause for removal from office!

Then we have the SCOTUS nominees. The RepubDems just allowed Obama’s nominee go unseated! Who does that? Now they’re going to vote for a RW, WACKO NUTJOB and expect “Liberals” to vote for them anyway…and you will. Over and over and over again they shit on you and laugh while they’re doing it because they know you won’t and can’t do a damn thing about it because THEY HAVE EVOTING MACHINES they can hack and choose whomever they want to win.

Why anyone would vote for that shit is beyond me.

    14. This is why I want good suggestions for green and other independent candidates..

… for the general election and our candidate lists where progressives didn’t break through to get a nomination.  I noted on my last thread that I’d try and find a lot myself now, but the next few weeks are going to be hell for me trying to survive when I need to both get a job and a new place to move to, which will be taking up all of my time then.  Hopefully a job offer will come through within a week or so and make my life just stressful and not impossible.

I think championing those that are independents where the progressive Democratic candidates weren’t being nominated will hopefully send a message to the corrupt neoliberal establishment that they better get on board trying to get people-centric candidates, or they will be abandoned in the general election, and likely lose to the Republicans.  The people in so many areas now are just fed up with the notion that “centrist is good enough” any more.  We may lose a lot of seats this coming election, but if we send a message that they better start campaigning on (AND DELIVERING ON!!!) progressive actions if they get elected, or they won’t get a majority in 2018, like so many want to counter Trump.  Every place where we can tell a local official campaigning to us that we’re looking at “the alternative” unless they do this and this and that, will hopefully get some of them to listen.

Any suggestions for third party candidates I’ve missed that aren’t cloaked right wingers I will welcome and add to the list when I get the chance.

Vote AGAINST the race to the bottom by both corporate parties who seek to screw workers over globally!

    16. Well it also shows most people want progress and that is progressive

ideas. The two party system might be hopelessly corrupted to it’s very core. Yep. I will say I think it is.

Oh sweety, no just no, when I or those of us here talk about the ultra rich - it is NOT you! Not you by a longshot, oh my God did you think...no way you actually thought we meant you? Lord, this country is full of rich stupid people and you seem to be one of the worst. No sweety, you are just a low paid pawn to those ultra rich we talk about. They are wrecking the world, you are an enabler and I understand not being able to sleep at night. I wouldn't either, selling out our future. You have kids right?
