WTF?? Get us in 'line':) Bernie backers' attacks on Democrats infuriate the part

Bernie backers’ attacks on Democrats infuriate the party

Prominent Democrats are increasingly riled by attacks from Bernie Sanders’ supporters, whose demands for ideological purity are hurting the party ahead of the 2018 midterms and 2020 presidential election, they say.

But it’s not just the outside agitators that Democratic lawmakers, operatives, and activists are annoyed with: They’re tired of what they see as the senator’s hesitance to confront his own backers, either in public or through back channels.

Tensions boiled over recently when a handful of Sanders loyalists bashed freshman Sen. Kamala Harris — a rising star in the party and potential 2020 hopeful — as an establishment tool. Democrats were also rankled that other prominent Sanders allies said support for single-payer health care should be a litmus test for candidates.

In response, Democratic senators and outside groups have begun telling Sanders and friendly intermediaries that if he wants to be a leading figure for Democrats ahead of 2020’s presidential election, he needs to get his supporters in line — or at least publicly disavow their more incendiary statements.

    1. I have yet to witness

a supporter that needed to “get in line”.  These idiots just don’t get it, do they. I don’t even know where to begin. Maybe go back 50 years when all the corruption started?

There is no one like Bernie Sanders. NO ONE!!! The cause is right!!  The time is NOW!!! Note: I ONLY vote for grass root politicians that support: "Single Payer", "Tuition Free College". Period!!!!

    2. I'm not even going to try to be civil. I was raised a

Democrat and for decades believed I’d die one. Democrats could do no wrong in my mind. Things do change. Now they can most emphatically GO FUCK THEMSELVES.😠

I feel much better since I've given up hope

    3. They give progressives nothing

but platitudes. They rig the primaries, they don’t choose a progressive VP, they use superdelegates to quiet us, but we are supposed to unify…GTFOH

and now the Democrats’ sycophants want to kick Bernie to the curb as if they have anyone as likeable to replace him

Done with Corporate Dems. Done. "The time is always right do the right thing." MLK

      9. Thing is, the DNC has money trouble

And they need our money. Votes and money and we get screwed in return.

Where ever it is that they get the idea we’re going fall in line is mind boggling. They are basically telling us WE HAVE NO RIGHT to support and vote for the candidate of our choice. And that we owe THEM.

      Crazy bastids.

    4. Fuck em

    NEW PARTY !

Why expend energy and time on these corporate whores?

These assholes will never change. Lets spend this energy on a NEW PARTY ! What is with the 99% rather than the 1%

…and you think you’re going to stop this simply by ‘pulling a lever’, in a booth, behind a curtain, every 2 years? - Know yourself. And if you need help with that, call the FBI. -  There is only ONE solution to this mess:  New Party !

    and Congress would have 6%

    7. The only reason Kamala Harris is a 'rising star'…….

is because she’s an establishment/corporate tool.   That is true whether we point it out or not.

    11. Dems

are still in the spin cycle in their ongoing effort to force/guilt back smarter voters into their never changing world of status quo lies. That’s not what smarter voters do.

I’m still ‘all the way’ NEW Progressive Party!!!!

    12. Why would I care what a party I no longer belong to thinks?

The DNC really does not quite understand what a sea change that “being a Democrat” has undergone.  The Democratic Party stands for issues and policies that I cannot agree with, so therefore I have stopped belonging to the Democrat Tribe.  They can whinge and bark and yammer all they want – has nothing to do with me.  #demexited

You think the only reason that people won't vote for a warmongering Third Way fracking-enabling cluster bomb throwing H-1B increasing lying pandering corporate and Wall Street shill who says she has no problem putting abortion rights on the table is because we are mad about Bernie?  Um, nope.

      13. Of course you're right. Why should

anyone pay attention to one of the two private organizations who have manipulated the system so that THEY nominate the one of the candidates for the office of the Presidency. Oh wait…

Make that why should anyone care about the party that rigs primaries and as of today, continues to be one of the major players in elections at every level of government in this country.

Your sneering disdain for articles or information pertaining to  the Dims has been noted. I have a suggestion. Maybe there’s a way you could block all posts with the Democratic Party as it’s topic. That way you won’t tire yourself out having to post how much you don’t care about it. You do go around informing everyone that you don’t care, right?

        14. It has been NOTED? Wow, does that sound familiar! Bwahahahaha!

Also – this is not a website where we block posts or posters.    That would be SV.  And your “put-down” is a little strange – I am saying I don’t give a flying fuck what the Democratic party thinks of me, I have no intention of falling into line, and as you have helpfully pointed out how they manipulate and rig – what, exactly, am I supposed to be paying attention to?  Or listening to?  Am I supposed to fall into line?  I don’t see your logic, unless, of course, you are a big fan of the Democratic party and cannot bear to read posts against them.  Here’s an idea – don’t read my posts.  And saying anything “has been noted” is actually fucking hilarious.  We don’t tell people how to post here.  Just express – or attack – an issue, not the poster.  As I said, different than SV, for example.

In your OP, you said you are “too damn angry to replay in a civil manner”.    So no one else can reply angrily, if you do not?  or do you agree with the DNC?  Puzzling, for sure!

You think the only reason that people won't vote for a warmongering Third Way fracking-enabling cluster bomb throwing H-1B increasing lying pandering corporate and Wall Street shill who says she has no problem putting abortion rights on the table is because we are mad about Bernie?  Um, nope.

            17. I am not interested in the DNC's opinions inasmuch as I would not change my

opinion of them, or give them my vote.  What is really bizarre is that you felt it necessary to actually post an OP about something that you are too angry to be civil about.  And then whine because I expressed my opinion of the idea that I should care if the DNC wants me to “fall in line”.  And the “it has been noted” bullshit is so sv, and so very interrresting.  Am I on a (shudder) LIST?  Is there a committee, or just a royal “we”?  Who is noting my posts?  Have they no life or other interests?  I kinda feel honored!

Not to mention telling me to hide OPs – no, sorry, we don’t do that here – and telling to not click on things.   That’s so underground.   On a message board, IMO and all that, people express opinions, they don’t tell other people how or when to express their own opinions.

You think the only reason that people won't vote for a warmongering Third Way fracking-enabling cluster bomb throwing H-1B increasing lying pandering corporate and Wall Street shill who says she has no problem putting abortion rights on the table is because we are mad about Bernie?  Um, nope.

            18. By the way, I was not commenting on the fact that you posted this OP.

I was expressing how I felt about the DNC wanting Bernie’s supporters to fall in line.  I will always express my disdain for the DNC.  Perhaps you come from a place where posters are regularly attacked.

            Note that.

You think the only reason that people won't vote for a warmongering Third Way fracking-enabling cluster bomb throwing H-1B increasing lying pandering corporate and Wall Street shill who says she has no problem putting abortion rights on the table is because we are mad about Bernie?  Um, nope.
