Gioachino Rossini: William Tell Overture

      @jbnw After you talked about playing it, I thought I would watch a video. I’ve never seen it performed before. The kid on the triangle was killing it. 🙂

      Yes, the triangle player did very well, and you can see him concentrating 🙂

      No closeups on the horns where they had the melody, but oh, well.

      When you listen to it, you realize there’s a LOT that isn’t often heard when you hear it in movies and television. There’s a pastoral Bugs Bunny theme about six minutes in, and the Lone Ranger theme starts just before 8 1/2 minutes.

      And playing it as a horn player – those first 8 minutes seem to take forever to get through, and after that time speeds up – the last few minutes go by VERY quickly!!!
