    1. Looks like a wire haired Jack Russel but that's a guess…I think your right

    about the golden.

      2. It looks like those are a longer-haired breed

I thought the pictured dog resembled our girl somewhat. We haven’t been able to figure what breed she is, with short hair, green eyes and a beard.

        3. Love the beard! She looks like she has Dalmatian and the beard does suggest

possible wire haired gene… if so then it may have come from a bigger dog like a Wire Haired Terrier.

I don’t think she got a lot of genetic material from a wire haired ancestor.

She’s pretty…a bearded lady. Very cute!

          14. We have a dog that looks like a terrier cross. Not a spick of terrier in it DNA

test says. DNA testing is really the only way to know as dog l”ooks” many times are not at all what we think they might be. I certainly was shocked with the results for the most part.

            15. Thanks for that information!

Until DNA testing there wasn’t any other way beyond guessing.

              16. 2 DNA tests showed this.

Parents and grand parents listing is how back their trace DNA: 1/4 Schipperke, 1/4 Min Poodle, 1/4 Bichon, 1/4 mixed with heavy emphasis on Duck Tolling Retriever, Clumber Spaniel and King Charles Spaniel. PorkChop is 21 lbs of strong high energy trouble.

          5. Haikugal and Land of Enchantment

She’s our sweetie, adopted a few years ago as all our dogs have been. I think she’ll return in her next life as a nurse. She is very attentive to our other two. When our shepherd got a small wound on his paw in the back yard, she lay in front of him and licked it thoroughly while he smiled appreciatively. On another day, she stretched out her paw and planted it on top of his head as if to say “you’re a good boy”, and left it there for a couple of minutes while he once again smiled at her.

            7. Awwww. She is special! I'll bet she scored in the 99 percentile on

‘protective tendencies’. You made my day. Whoozagoodboy? Our shepherd would have smiled too!

      12. Upon further checking, unlikely

The standard height and weight is listed as 13–14 inches and 13 to 17 lbs. She is very much larger than that, more like a lab.

        13. Well, dang! I know the terriers have their own group

at Westminster. There are so many and they are all precious!
