But either one would be nice and I don’t see it happening.

a little weird replied to the topic I just caught a little Andy Griffith Show in the forum Bar and Grill 3 months ago
Although it’s common to hear both terms. Actually my dad always used to use ‘dinner’ in place of lunch which did seem weird to me but I’ve heard other people from older generations do that too.

a little weird replied to the topic Right-wing groups sue Michigan over ban on weapons at polling stations in the forum General Discussion 4 months ago
I’m surprised they had to issue a ban in the first place. Scary times though.

a little weird replied to the topic Fauci Says It Might Be Time to Mandate Masks as Covid-19 Surges Across US in the forum CORONA Virus / COVID-19 4 months ago
We’ve had a mask mandate for months but enforcement is left up to private establishments and some of them don’t really seem to care.

a little weird replied to the topic If you want to help the poor in the forum General Discussion 4 months ago
And obviously should change our policies. Maybe if you stop the recently homeless from becoming long-term homeless it will eventually help with the homeless epidemic. I don’t think it’s a newsflash that early intervention is helpful (I think even earlier intervention like an actual social safety net should exist to prevent people from losing t…[Read more]

a little weird replied to the topic Mouth wash kills covid-19? in the forum Latest Breaking News 4 months ago
So I’m not sure how mouthwash would help with that but it seems reasonable it could kill surface covid that makes it into your mouth. I don’t see any downside in using mouthwash more just in case.

a little weird replied to the topic California no longer # 1 on the covid front. in the forum General Discussion 4 months ago
From what I’ve been hearing, one of the reasons Sweden doesn’t have as many critical patients is because they are simply not treating many sick people in a hospital setting so they are more likely to get critically ill and die at home. I think that’s especially been true for elderly people. Their response has been really b…[Read more]

a little weird replied to the topic Ever wonder what an 8 point lead for Joe Biden would look like? in the forum General Discussion 4 months ago
But this election has almost nothing to do with Biden and is just a referendum on Trump. Plus Trump fans don’t think Covid-19 is real. I still think it could go either way though.

a little weird replied to the topic Sure enough, Howie Hawkins made the Ohio ballot. in the forum General Discussion 4 months ago
We did not get him on our ballot or even as a write-in option. I left it blank.
Our republican SOS in Kentucky has actually been very reasonable and worked with our democratic governor to make voting easier this year. It was very easy to register and vote absentee which used to be an ordeal. They’ve opened it up for early voting which is av…[Read more]

a little weird replied to the topic Nearly nine of 10 workers want to keep work-from-home option: survey in the forum General Discussion 4 months ago
The only exception was when I started a job where the majority of people telecommuted. It was difficult to get started when you didn’t have the chance to meet people face to face and have someone get you up to speed. I think it’s possible to make onboarding easier for telecommuters but it just wasn’t in that particular job. But I would be th…[Read more]

a little weird replied to the topic Krystal and Saagar: Noam Chomsky challenged On Vote Blue No Matter Who in the forum Multimedia 4 months ago
I thought it was an interesting interview. I have sympathy for both positions but I just don’t think either strategy will work. We’ve gotten to the point where it has become too difficult to determine which candidate will be the lesser evil. I think she’s right that the left can’t continue to vote blue no matter who, but it’s also true that wit…[Read more]

This whole video is worth watching but it is long. If you don’t want to watch the whole thing, the segment from about 17:30 to about 28 minutes is especially revealing. I’m attempting to embed the video but I’m not sure I know how to do that…
