beemerphill replied to the topic A Devil's Memo to the PUMAs, Hillbots, DLC trolls and all the other brainless tools over at SV in the forum DNC / Thirdway 8 months ago
The Democratic Party has been trying its hardest to screw things up and lose for so long that I think it will probably never return to its roots. The Party of FDR is gone, and its chances of it returning are slim. It is hard to imagine that the DNC is so blind that it can not see this. Your rant is what many of us have been thinking. Thanks for…[Read more]

beemerphill replied to the topic Poll: Do you believe Joe Biden was legitimately elected as President of the United States? in the forum General Discussion 9 months ago
The question is did Joe Biden win the Presidential Election. The answer is yes. No one asked if he won the primary fairly or not. Then the answer would be different. In the actual election, there are about 230000 polling places in the USA. Each place has about 7 workers. That works out to 1.6 million polling workers. Had there been some…[Read more]

beemerphill replied to the topic Biden turns his back on gun control – he can't even follow from behind in the forum Latest Breaking News 9 months ago
If he hangs a millstone like gun control on the necks of Democrats the mid-term elections will turn out even worse than it looks now. He has been in politics long enough to know that any kind of gun control is an automatic third rail for any politician who would like to win. The politicians will all talk a good game, and perhaps even pass a…[Read more]

beemerphill replied to the topic Forthcoming declaration of war? in the forum Latest Breaking News 1 year ago
A hot war in Ukraine would be bad for the people, but it is almost worth it to see a country (Russia) actually declare war. For decades we have seen “proxy wars”, “police actions”, and all kinds of phony euphemisms for war. A real war properly declared would almost be a breath of fresh air. Perhaps if we started calling wars what they are instead…[Read more]

Just how much did the American Car Manufacturers save by buying cheap computer chips from China? If they aren’t producing vehicles, they aren’t selling vehicles. This does not seem like a good business model for any industry. They will probably just ask the government for a handout instead of sourcing the chips here. It is clear that I do not…[Read more]

At one time I would have said that NO ONE would be stupid enough to let her get the nomination AGAIN, but after the last couple of primaries and the sorry performance of Democratic leadership, it is possible. If she does get the nomination, the Repubs could run a stray cat and win the race.

And there is little that we can do to lessen your pain. Your feeling about Democrats is so right on. The best that we can do is try to elect those who at least promise to fix this sorry medical system that we have. Most of them will not deliver, but a few of them might. May your daughter be at peace now.

What used to be called Arkancide changed to Epsteined. Now we can call it Assanged. It seems our definition of civilized behavior is changing at the same time. One must wonder if Assange will actually make it to court in good enough condition to help in his own defense. That is if he does make it to court.

beemerphill replied to the topic Another delivery of military aid from the USA is on the way to Ukraine in the forum Latest Breaking News 1 year ago
It would be a hundred times better to sit down with Russia and work out an agreement that everyone could live with. This way is possible. Fighting their tanks with a small poorly trained force would guarantee failure and years of conflict. The US is not helping the situation. Ukraine does not need to be in NATO.

Any troops stationed in plain view of the Russians might as well have a bright bulls-eye painted on their shirts. The countries in this part of the world have diplomats and politicians. Let them work out a peaceful solution to their own problems. Don’t drag us into another “conflict”. We have been in too many of those and it never turns out well…[Read more]

IF they were stupid enough to kick the bear, retaliation would be not only swift, it would be massive. Ukraine would be a Russian possession, and would not be an independent nation for a long time after, if ever. The West would talk big but would do nothing. Anything done to assist Ukraine would potentially turn into WWIII. And everyone knows…[Read more]

There are a couple of questions though. What kind of response times will these pods be capable of? Will they be labeled “vigilantes”? Will there be any oversight of this process? We all expected them to take back all that that they could, and they did. It is a sorry state of affairs when we EXPECT our own government to screw us and are right about it. As long as we keep getting the same old same old type of politician we will see the same thing happen every time.

The people with the power and influence will find someone to blame. In cases like this, some little guy on the bottom will always be found to be at fault.
