Biden blathering to Anderson Cooper, telling us all we don’t want a revolution; we want results.
Well hell, Joe, we’ve been wanting results for a long, long time now, and haven’t seen them. So, we have moved on to revolution. Gawd I hate when politicians tell me what I want. Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around?
Meanwhile, I get p…[Read more]
Just an observation—well off and wealthy people tend to eat out a lot. Food service workers tend to be un- or under insured and are paid low wages. Sometimes, their employers are quick to fire them for calling in sick. Because they are often struggling to keep their heads above water, they often work sick. Yes, they all have Serv-Safe t…[Read more]

A rhetorical question: if someone watching the debate had been playing a drinking game of taking a shot every time Butti interrupted, how long would they have lasted?
Also want to say thanks to the folks who took one for the team and watched this shitfest.
emme replied to the topic Sanders Alone On Debate Stage to Say Candidate With the Most Votes Should Get Nomination at Convention in the forum General Discussion 4 months ago
Out of the whole line up of Dem candidates, there is only one who generates voter enthusiasm and excitement and can pack an arena with cheering people. And the DNC is hellbent on doing whatever it takes to keep him from getting the nomination. It is the damndest thing—a Democratic party that would rather lose to Trump than elect Sanders.

Ha—if Julia thinks her Twitter comments were hard to take, she should have heard what some Trump supporters at work today had to say about her suggestion. Suffice to say they disagreed quite strongly.
So sorry for the loss of your kitty. It is never easy to say good bye, but even harder when the have been with you for so long.
Not only will this comment piss off farmers, but anyone who gardens, or simply tends a few potted plants at home. Raising green growing things takes skill and talent. That’s why some folks have green thumbs, and others just don’t.
Waiting for his next comment about how we should stop raising brown dairy cows for chocolate milk; too hi…[Read more]

I came to JPR first this morning to see how Bernie did, as I knew the MSM reporting would piss me off. CNN headline is “Five Takeaways From the New Hampshire Primary.” Below that, a photo of Sanders. Caption is “Sanders got the celebration that eluded him a week earlier. But Buttigieg made him sweat.”
And then finally, in small pale type…[Read more]
I appreciate he did his part to reveal DNC cheating right from the git-go in the 2020 election. Not intentionally of course, but he just couldn’t help gloating about his “win” a little too soon. Now the whole world is watching. With a magnifying glass.

Count me as one who simply does not believe Buttigieg got roughly a quarter of the vote. 15-20% sounds more likely, with Bernie around 30%. Flipping about 5% of the vote between the two would give the results being reported. Hmm…

You know, there really isn’t an app for everything. I’ve yet to find one to do my laundry. And some things are too damn important to entrust to an app. Elections for example. Too easy to hack; too many things can go wrong. Sometimes the tried and true, “old fashioned” ways are best. Time to go back to paper ballots, #2 pencils, and non-par…[Read more]
Received a letter today from Mike Bloomberg, asking for my vote of course. Opens by pointing out that Washington is out of touch, everyone knows it, and that is how Trump got elected in 2016. But instead of returning the government to the people, Trump creates chaos. Fair points.
Bloomberg then touches on his business experience, ac…[Read more]

You know, it is petty ass stunts like this that riles up the Trump supporters and energizes his campaign’s ground game. And they are already plenty riled up and energized already.
I just do not see how Buttigieg did as well as he did. He offers nothing to help people that I can see. Corpo dem all the way. The MIC-CIA candidate of choice.
We sure won’t reduce our military interventions abroad with him in the White House.
Forgot to add those numbers are with 62% reporting.
I just saw this–
I think the more distance Bernie puts between himself and Obama the better. If the Dems want to win the independent voters in 2020, it would be real helpful if the Obama and Clintons stay far away from the convention. As @daleanime said above, Barry is a lot of the reason Trump is in the White House. The rest of the reason is Hillary.

Was awakened at 4 Friday morning by the ferocious wind pushing the storm in. Got lucky here; the temps all day hovered a degree or two above freezing, so got rain. Northern half of the state got freezing rain/sleet/snow or a mix depending on the area. A whole lot of the precipitation arrived horizontally due to the wind. A wild storm.

Shit. Like @The Red Menace, I am so fucking tired of this.
Once upon a time, for a few short years, I thought the US had finally learned its lesson and would stop its military meddling around the world. It was right after the fall of Saigon. I sit here wondering what went wrong, but deep down, I know. It’s all about the resources, baby. Who co…[Read more]
