HassleCat started the topic Will there really be a review of low volume toilets? Really? in the forum General Discussion 12 hours ago
This was just one of his random mutterings, right? He’s not actually going to review the rule, issue an executive order, etc? It should not surprise me anymore, but the guy seems able to top himself when it comes to not knowing shit. Yes, pun intended. Anybody with a modern low volume toilet knows they flush much better than the old high volume…[Read more]

History repeats itself. We allow the Saudis free run of our country and they repay us by killing our citizens. Time for a SERIOUS reexamination of our relationship with this country.

Ira Louvin- Who Throwed Dat Rock in the forum Country Music 14 hours ago
The Louvin Brothers are interesting, real genuine old time country boys. Check out the album cover on The Devil is Real! I think that’s the title. Many of their songs warned of sin and consequences of straying from the path.

Yep. The Moscow subway system Carrie’s more people than New York, London and Paris. Combined. Their cars are old and noisy, and kind of scary, but they keep speeding along. Unlike the DC Metro, the escalators work, which is a good thing because Russian subways are a looooong way underground. Especially in Saint Petersburg, where they had to build…[Read more]

HassleCat replied to the topic Pentagon Concerned Russia Cultivating Sympathy Among US Troops in the forum General Discussion 18 hours ago
Russia still tries to maintain hegemony within what it sees as its sphere of influence. They are empire builders, along with China and the United States. Russian global ambitions have been scaled back since the Soviet Union dissolved, but I regard them with the same suspicions I have about ourselves.

HassleCat replied to the topic If you want to beat Trump, be honest about Biden in the forum General Discussion 22 hours ago
Democrats are as good as Republicans at partisan hypocrisy. It’s ridiculous to pretend Hunter Biden did any real work for Burisma. He was on their board to help shield them from any corruption investigation. His gig was not illegal, but definitely wrong. Influence peddling can be legal, but it’s still influence peddling.

HassleCat started the topic "The Squad" finds themselves siding with GOP on Israel-Palestine resolution. in the forum General Discussion 22 hours ago
You know things are confusing when Democrats famous for being “far left” side with Republicans. This suggests a couple things. The Democratic resolution opposing Netanyahu’s annexation and encouraging the two state solution leaves room for the possibility that a Palestinian state would be subject to Israel’s approval in conducting its affairs,…[Read more]

HassleCat replied to the topic The Obamanauts in the forum General Discussion 23 hours ago
I am not so disappointed in the Obama legacy as I am in the way his admirers insist it must be eternally preserved, just as it is, without any changes, because it’s perfect for all time. Thus, we cannot have Medicare for all because it would be a repudiation of Obamacare. Instead, we must work harder to implement and enforce and defend various…[Read more]

HassleCat replied to the topic Joe Biden Called Obama "Articulate, Bright & Clean". Now, Michael Bloomberg Calls Cory Booker "Well Spoken" in the forum General Discussion 23 hours ago
This is how the party plays identity politics, by pretending it doesn’t exist. Thus, considering a move to get color or gender balance on the presidential ticket is not identity politics. It’s “standing up for diversity” or something like that. I am not against identity politics. In fact, I’m in favor of it, but let’s do it right, call it what it…[Read more]

HassleCat replied to the topic If you want to beat Trump, be honest about Biden in the forum General Discussion 23 hours ago
I think Biden is showing the same impatience and frustration we saw from Hillary Clinton. She kept Her emotions under controlmost of the time, but there were some facial expressions and body language moments that said, “This is my moment! Who the hell are you to rain on my parade!” Biden is doing the same thing, but it’s bubbling to the surface…[Read more]

HassleCat started the topic Mayor Pete trying to make a big deal of the free college thing. in the forum President 1 day ago
Pete Buttegieg is claiming his free college plan is dramatically different than the Sanders and Warren plans because his plan would not offer free tuition to families who make $150k or more a year. Like Sanders and Warren, he wants to tax wealthy people to pay for his plan, but he doesn’t want any of that money to go back to rich people. I don’t…[Read more]

Biden is carrying way too much baggage. He’ll be dropping out of the race here in the next month or two. Bernie will surge in the polls and the DNC will convince loser Hillary to step into the primary. The good news is, she will lose the primary to Bernie in staggering numbers!

Too many other uses make it unlikely he used it as a racial slur. The butt from a joint is a roach. A mobile canteen wagon is a roach coach. And so on.
