Times have changed. When I was young we used to go to Action Park, Vernon, NJ. Kids used to get hurt there all the time. Some died. (I got hurt there, too).
They called it the “World’s Most Dangerous Amusement Park”. There was a movie about it.
Here’s the Youtube Trailer…

gordyfl replied to the topic How America will collapse (by 2025) in the forum General Discussion 10 hours ago
Around 2008 during the financial crisis, Ben Bernanke (or maybe it was Hank Paulson) said that we needed Quantitative Easing to prevent a sudden collapse of the econonmy. Rather than a sudden collapse, he said the American people will feel “a slow burn.” I think that is what the majority of Americans have been feeling since then — “a slow burn.”…[Read more]

Best advice: “Buy on bad news. Sell on good news.”
The young, inexperienced main streeters buy on good news and sell on bad news.

I read today Rand Paul forced a vote declaring the Senate Impeachment Hearing unconstitutional.
45 Republicans voted “Yes” — that it was unconstitutional. That sounds like Trump will be acquited. The five Republican senators who broke with their party were Romney, Murkowski, Collins, Sasse and Toomey.

If I’m not mistaken, those FAANG stocks are Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google.

Democrats, for now, are comfortable with the government spying on Americans as long as they’re spying on Republicans. Republicans are okay with spying on anyone from “the radical left”. Adam Schiff’s Bill provides a way for the federal government to go after people whose politics they don’t like.
From the NY Times — December 22, 1…[Read more]

I watched the interview on Sunday morning and thought George Stephnopoulos did a good job pressing Rand Paul on his wild claims about the election results. However, Rand Paul did get in enough talking points so that websites like WND can spin it in Rand Paul’s favor.

Fireworks! Watch Rand Paul crush Stephanopoulos on ‘stolen’…[Read more]

I sometimes watch the show “American Greed”. There are some Wall Streeters who seem so smart — brilliant even. But then they run some cockamamie ponzi scheme and live the good life. They buy 20 cars, a yacht, a private jet and a mansion. They do it with other people’s money and pay their bills by bringing in new so-called “investors”. As I watch…[Read more]

but if the Bucs were to lose, I wouldn’t mind them losing to the Packers.
Early in the game I saw a statistic on my cell phone — It said anytime Brady threw a touchdown pass in the 1st quarter of a Conference Championship Game his team went on to win — 10-0. Now it’s 11-0.
I thought if the Bucs were going to win they’ll have to score a lot of…[Read more]

In fact, I don’t think he expected to win the first time.
I truly believe Trump was planning on running as an Independent in 2016. He expected Jeb or Cruz would get the nomination, and he would be the third party candidate throwing mud at the two major party candidates. But, surprisingly, he won the first primary. Then the second. After that,…[Read more]
