Thank you POTUS for the new $2.2 billion defense aid package. It’s important to strengthen the 🇺🇦 Defense Forces. Together with 🇺🇸 we stand against terror! The more long-range our weapons are and the more mobile our troops are the sooner Russia’s brutal aggression will…[Read more]

Hmmm. Now the US wants them to fight to the last Libyan and Sudanese?
What about Blackwater? Or the Mozart group that just imploded in Ukraine? Or this very long list?

“No one will surrender Bakhmut. We will fight as much as we can,” Zelensky at a press conference following the EU-Ukraine summit.
This is very bad news for APU in that area. It hasn’t been dubbed the “meat grinder” for no reason. Bleak.

This is the third time I’ve seen this, and from a reasonably reliable source. However, I can’t confirm it from a Ukrainian contact yet –
Realize if it’s true, there’s no way for soldier to send money to the family.

A couple of months ago a family acquaintance was killed in action as a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
So far, there’s no payment from the AFU.
Billions for weapons, and nothing for the human costs of war.
I doubt there would be much support for the war in Ukraine if stories like this were reported in the US.

The support wouldn’t exist otherwise.
And it wouldn’t exist if news reported Ukraine the way they reported Vietnam.

It’s apparently un-American.
I didn’t get drafted for Vietnam as a high school senior, and I remember about 5 years of peace after that.
Now there is no sight of peace in the future, nor is there a peace movement – maybe because corporate news won’t cover it.
