on Thom Hartmann in 2014 or so before he was a candidate. I don’t know what really happened being the scenes, but I would have liked to see him as President then. I also understand that the Bernie of 2019 wasn’t the same.
I also agree that there are other choices – it’s why I voted for Mark Charles, introduced to me here JPR.
2024? I will wait…[Read more]

Russian forces would be welcomed, but remember that unlike the US, civilians aren’t armed and the Ukrainian soldiers are.
I hope it doesn’t come to that – I remember the center looking like this in the evening, though more recent pictures showed tank traps on this street.

Also a major Russian speaking area – and I don’t think the current residents really want to live where their language is banned.
Of course, Article 10 of the Ukrainian Constitution still says:
The state language of Ukraine is the Ukrainian language.

It’s a worry as it is on the Dnieper river —
But on the bright side, here’s the Ferris wheel in the city park. It was fun, and a little different, to ride! The wheel doesn’t stop, so you have to be quick getting on an off 🙂

I’ve seen lots of proposed partitions, including western Ukraine returning to…[Read more]

Dnipro Tuesday Evening, 31st Jan
Cold days the past few, and few more weeks of it to come, I suppose it is winter. Snowing lightly now, but has been cold enough that roads aren’t too bad, no ice which is always good. Despite this being a cold country, Ukrainians always seem to struggle in ice, always crashes buggering up the traffic flow. I have…[Read more]
