Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is planning to submit a draft bill to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the status and assistance to Polish citizens in Ukraine, which is similar to the one, which has recently been endorsed by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland in relation to Ukrainians.
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President…[Read more] -

while he still says Ukraine can defeat Russia.
Well, with the infinite armaments from the collective West.
Zelensky needs to be reminded his citizens aren’t infinite for cannon fodder, though –

Kharkiv is another Russian-speaking area – or was, at least.
But the war doesn’t help. My friend’s brother in Kharkiv has gone from anti-Azov to anti-Russian as missile strikes continue.
I suspect others will blame the governments who send the infinite weapon supply to prolong the war and leave Ukraine in probably infinite debt.

The UN Security Council unanimously approved the Minsk protocols. That of course included the US and UK.
I believe the only step that was implemented was the Special Monitoring Mission that documented the cease-fire violations for years.

Apartments aren’t going to be worth much – if you can even find a buyer.
Look at house prices in Russia now – they are more expensive.
The value of the hryvnia continues to drop too.
My wife’s family flat will not be worth much at all if it remains in Ukraine – the final borders will make a big difference.

The ruble is now around 58 to the dollar; it was around 73 last year.
For goods that are available prices are now significantly lower.

And I worry that life may be much worse for any Russian-speaking Ukrainians that remain in Ukraine when this is over.
Well, any Ukrainians, for that matter – Joey has finally managed to destroy the economy and much of the country.

Speaking on national TV, he suggested his country could be victorious against Russia on the battlefield.
However, he added that the war could only come to a conclusive halt “at the negotiating table”.
The end of fighting in the southern port city of Mariupol has freed up Russian troops for redeployment elsewhere and allowed them to…[Read more]

And all require a degree of skepticism. But there are still a few, like The Duran, that have been consistently reliable. There’s still @AngieSkys on Twitter that are still good, and numerous Telegram sources have a lot of content, but are really unverifiable, and, frankly, some have graphic videos that show war, but have content hard to see.…[Read more]

The phrase “sheep dipped”, is commonly used in intelligence circles. It’s a way of saying someone has been given an alternate identity. The best known example being Air America, but also in many other covert ops applications. Not necessarily military. “Those who were accepted got “sheep-dipped” and…[Read more]

The DPR/LPR/Russians have always been limited with their comments (more from DPR/Chechens). There used to be more from Ukrainians, but more of that has been shut down to Zelensky/Kyiv can better control the information available to all Ukrainians and the West.

If you’re not following Ukraine you won’t know Gonzalo Lira, but he is a source from Ukraine in Kharkiv whose week-long disappearance raised international concern.
Personally, I’d given up following him before that; too much was unsubstantiated vulgar opinion. And I’ve got a better source – a friend’s brother is still in Kharkiv.
But I’m…[Read more]

The title needs to be corrected based on the summary. The relevant points are
* There was and is a global food crisis because food has become unaffordable for some people.
* The war in Ukraine did not cause the food crisis.
* Russia does not blockade Ukrainian harbors.
* Ukraine could export more wheat if it would allow ships to leave its harbors. -

They’ve been getting divided since the civil war started in 2014, if not earlier.
Talking is trivial – like the US Civil War, the Ukrainian civil war has families on both sides of military lines.

Well expressed.
I’m very glad my dad, a WW II Navy and Pearl Harbor veteran, didn’t live to see this travesty.
@jonlp , it’s not just up to Russia how long this war lasts. It’s also up to Ukrainians – they’re the people who are fighting and dying for it. The professional Ukrainian Army, what remains of it, is being reinforced by untrained…[Read more]

I am pi%%ed about this. Livid. Ukraine has been destroyed for decades because Zelensky believed our diplomats, with ten million or so refugees – probably 20 to 25 percent of the population of the country.
And unlike most in the West, I have family and friends who are directly affected by this.
