Landlords are not protected or oppressed class—their identity preference is irrelevant.
Snip.. Here’s a local reporter (who we won’t pick on here too much because he’s pretty low on the food chain) admitting he’s chosen to adopt a term preferred by landlords in the interests of fairness. And he’s not alone: Increasingly, reporters, pundits, an…[Read more]

Joe Shlabotnik replied to the topic Randy Bachman finds his stolen Gretsch in Tokyo – 45 years after it was taken from his Toronto hotel room in the forum Rock & Roll-ish 1 week ago
But as a casual fan of Bachman (and a Gretsch owner too), I know how absolutely afflicted he’s been over the last 45 years. He mentioned that guitar in interviews all the time.
Also, I thought it was interesting how accommodating he was to the Japanese guy who was reluctant to give back stolen goods, to its rightful owner. Bachman is a class act.
According to a report from Vancouver’s CTV News, the instrument was stolen from Bachman’s hotel room at a Holiday Inn in Toronto back in 1976, only for it to recently resurface in Tokyo, as part of the collection of Japanese guitarist Takeshi.
Bachman purchased his most cherished guitar aged 20 (around 1963), wit…[Read more]

Solidarity from Puerto Rico with the people of Guam, who have seen US militarization escalate in their land after the Navy was forced out of Vieques. This is what it means when we say, “none of us are free, until we’re ALL free.” Decolonize US occupied nations. End US imperialism https://t.co/uUe51FGdxp

will do it this year too. But Thanksgiving is not a real big deal in my small family, of increasingly elderly people. We all live within 5 minute drives of each other, so someone will make the turkey, someone else the vegetables, someone else the stuffing or desert etc, and then drive them from one house to the other. I actually prefer it.

What a coincidence that there are zero US politicians included in the "Pandora Papers" list of offshore bank accounts. I guess they're all pure and free from corruption!
I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that the so-called "leak" was likely a hack by US spy agencies https://t.co/WXIhtpqwGS
