By 2024?!? By then it would need to be $18-20. So lame.

rachaelseven replied to the topic Response rates in telephone surveys have resumed their decline in the forum General Discussion 2 years ago
Hard to imagine how it wouldn’t affect the accuracy of the polls. There’s obviously a serious selection bias issue in terms of people who are willing to answer telephone polls. The question is, what other characteristics are shared by those who self-select to take these phone polls. It seems almost inconceivable that they wouldn’t share some…[Read more]

rachaelseven replied to the topic AOC Leads Progressive Takeover of Banking Committee in the forum Multimedia 2 years ago
If Progressives could really cause any trouble for the bankers, they wouldn’t be there. More video clips of Congress critters asking bankers “tough” questions isn’t going to do a thing. It’s intended to give the progressives the photo ops the establishment think they want (since that’s what the establishment types would want), nothing more.

There’s always a lot of talk about “holding their feet to the fire”. Well, it may be news to the establishment loyalist “resistance”, but primaries are how we actually do that. Do what we want, or we will replace you. A message so simple even a politician can understand it.

Oh no, they ARE that dumb. There just aren’t that many of them and they leave the donating to the big players – I mean, what good is their $30 going to do in the face of the billions that she raised from her real constituency.

rachaelseven replied to the topic Can we dump this incarnation of JPR 3.0? in the forum Help and Q & A 2 years ago
It doesn’t look good or function well. Articles are half the width of the page and comments squeeze down to illegibility within 3 layers of replies. It’s hard to use, doesn’t work well, and further work is most likely wasted effort. We should revert to 2.0 and look for better software.

Single best description of the modern American presidency I’ve ever heard. Mind if I borrow it?

rachaelseven started the topic Why Am I Taken to the Last Comment on a Post? in the forum Help and Q & A 2 years ago
Whenever I click a link to a post (from the Latest page, which I mostly use), I’m taken to the last comment, ie: the bottom of the scroll. Seems kinda odd to have to scroll up to get to the OP. Does it do that for everyone? Is there a setting I’m missing?

rachaelseven replied to the topic "Latest" Page Not Very Functional in the forum Help and Q & A 2 years ago
I know the kind of work that goes into this stuff and I’m always hesitant to post complaints. I just miss those features from 2.0 very much. I appreciate your efforts and anything you can safely/comfortably do to bring back some of those features would be very welcome. Thank you!

rachaelseven started the topic "Latest" Page Not Very Functional in the forum Help and Q & A 2 years ago
The new Latest page is a real disappointment. That’s my main surfing page and the cuts to functionality on that page really make the site almost useless to me now. The biggest issue is that only the most recent few are shown, with no ability to page back through ones I’ve missed. Also, no preview of the first line or two, no reference to the fo…[Read more]
