– Employment in leisure and hospitality declined by 498,000
– Employment in private education decreased by 63,000.
– Government employment declined by 45,000.
– Other services lost 22,000 jobs

In 2004 I was a poll worker in Dallas County Texas. 2004 was the first year Texas used electronic voting machines. The state purchased ES&S touch screen machines for the election.
