“Maybe the upcoming Republican House will impeach him for being a child molester”
The Democrats barely control the House now. Be careful what you wish for.

They have given us a taste with what it would be like, with the takeover of the Supreme Court.

They already have control of the Supreme Court and we know what they are capable of.
They are working on destroying our government, such as it still is.

I believe the U.S is guilty of damaging the Nord Stream pipe line. Then we have the MAGA fascists, well on their way to taking control of our government and country. Whether they do or not, I see a second bloody civil war. If they lose the coming elections, they will start the war. If they win, the rest of us will start it. We can’t be putting up…[Read more]

Like for eight years now. Ukraine is not a part of NATO. Or at least they weren’t when this war started. So why are there two NATO bases inside the northern Ukrainian border that have been stockpiling military equipment and ammunition for several years?

From 1911:
“Our democracy is but a name. We vote. What does that mean? It means that we choose between two bodies of real — though not avowed — autocrats. We choose between ‘Tweedledum’ and ‘Tweedledee’.”
— Helen Keller, on politicsIf Helen Keller could see that, why can’t we? We keep voting for the same Tweedles year after year.

I know others are more conscientious. But many are not. My experience was with people who were not. An allergy to cats isn’t any help either.
My experience with biodegradable bags is they disintegrate in the cold. Not fun when full of groceries and you are carrying multiple bags from the detached garage to an apartment building. That experiment…[Read more] -

At home the let the cats play with them in other floor. The kids carry around their puppies and kittens in them. But whatever, after a few uses, even if kept off the floor and away from the kids, they still get dirty and contaminated. These reusable bags are set on the grocery checkout counter, contaminating the counter, then the bags of the next…[Read more]

If I remember right, they offered their help when we very much needed it. We were over whelmed from a hurricane, but we turned them down.
Apparently the optics didn’t fit the proper politically correct version. Our “leaders” haven’t gotten any better since then.

Doug Mastriano, the Republican gubernatorial candidate for Pennsylvania, weighed in on what he would ban from the state’s schools, even though they aren’t a thing with educators. It’s like the Critical Race Theory pearl clutching with conservatives even though CRT isn’t taught in schools.
Republicans have pounced on creating culture wars, and…[Read more]

Is the word “Diplomacy” even in our dictionaries anymore?
Death and destruction is more profitable than diplomacy, even against our own citizens.
It is becoming apparent the All Mighty Dollar will not be worth anything anywhere else. If/when that happens, import/export trade will become very difficult.

Have we ‘won’ any of our wars since WWII? The answer is no.
Korea, stalemate.
Viet nam? We left with our tail between our legs.
Afghanistan? An exercise in spending money and replacing equipment. Russia showed us what happens there. We went in anyway.
Ukraine? The United States has been working on getting Russia to invade for eight years. The…[Read more] -

Good presidents and their seconds listen to their staff. Properly run, the president says what he wants and the staff figure out how to do it without making the president look as out of touch, or as incompetent as they usually are. It is the staff of the department and agency heads that are actually steering the ship of state.
They will prop Biden…[Read more] -
