@enthusiast It doesn’t matter whether Trump wins or loses, the civil war has started. I see that we have but one hope and that is we convince our elected mayors that they police are to stop all violence and no guns at protests. In WA we need to get a bill thru the legislature and gov that outlaws guns at protests with serious penalties.

I see your point about the military but it looks to me like this will be just battles between the left and the police/neo-nazi’s/national guard and not a real revolution. @ohiobarbarian

@hobbit709 Do I understand your point that we need a violent revolution? You may be right, but I can’t see how that’s going to come about. There aren’t any castles to tear down. The Oligarchy has the intelligence services, military, national guard, local police and the armed neo-nazi’s on their side. How would the 99% overcome that?

It sh.ould be crystal that the DNC WANTS TO LOSE. Every one of their actions has been to piss off the progressive wing. I am going to vote for Joe just to piss off the DNC. If he wins then they will have 4 years of him to try to justify.

@hobbit709 “NO ruling elite in history has ever voluntarily relinquished power.” I don’t believe that is true. The British pulled out of India. MLK Jr. wasn’t looking for the Elite to “relinquish power”. With no violence he won the hearts of enough Americans that the ruling elite had to adapt. But if the protestors turn violent, that gives the…[Read more]

@jbnw I don’t think violence advances the cause. But what’s your point? Most of the violence isn’t by those trying to “advance the cause” and shaking our fingers them isn’t going to stop them.

Re. the unrest in Kenosha Sen Tammy Baldwin tweets that she supports the governor bringing in the National Guard.
If you are wondering whose side of this civil war the Dem Establishment is on, Sen Baldwin makes it crystal clear. They side with the police and right wing racists against the protestors. The Oligarchy has…[Read more]

Thom Paine replied to the topic RAY McGOVERN: Catapulting Russian-Meddling Propaganda in the forum General Discussion 4 months ago
The sheeple want to believe that their problems are not due to their failed “democratic government” but because of the Russians. I figure that Rachel Maddow was paid $14 million dollars to scream “The Russians are Coming” for two years. Of course MSNBC and the NYT are proved traitors to our democracy. Remember Judith Miller. One of the principle…[Read more]

To those that see a possibility of a successful revolution, please tell me how it would work. Looks to me like the Right Wing with their guns are more than ready to defend the fascist Oligarchy. Looks like a civil war and not a revolution. Hell we can’t even get the fracking centrists to look badly at the Oligarchy.

In the early 1930’s Hitler’s government started to tighten the noose on the freedom of the public. Justification was provided for each increment and the increments weren’t enough individually to galvanize people to rise up. Those that did notice were too few to be effective and were called tratiors by the government. Too many people didn’t want to…[Read more]

I don’t believe the rich and powerful necessarily want us to die, but if we do, they don’t care, esp if we come between them and more power. It’s not personal, it’s just capitalism.

The Infinite Variety Breakfast: Breakfast Burritos and Tacos in the forum Jackpine Radical Cooking 5 months ago
I love scrambled egg breakfast tacos. I usually also have shredded potatoes.
I put just about everything in tortillas, esp leftovers. Hash, goulash, not much pasta…. yet. Tonite I am making Quinoa Burrito Bowls. My wife likes to eat it from the bowl while I eat it via tortillas. Tonite it’s quinoa, beans, bell peppers, onions, and sa…[Read more]

I have a hunch there isn’t anything Bernie could do that would be enough for some. If he acted the way some want, he would have been out of politics decades ago. He pushes as far as he can. When he says, “She understands what it takes to stand up for working people, fight for health care for all,” he is daring her to live up to that. It wo…[Read more]
